Alpha® Continues Making Progress…
10/21/2011
PROGRESS UPDATE!!! Alpha Professional Tools® continues to make progress in the repairs to the facility. Most recently, the replacement of sheet rock, spackling and painting has been completed and the floors are now being replaced. Our packaging department has been re-opened and we are labeling and packaging blades and core bits at a steady pace. New inventory continues to arrive and we are shipping at maximum capacity. Your patience and support through this ordeal has been overwhelming, and as always, we thank you.
New Inventory Now Shipping!

GREAT NEWS!!!! Alpha Professional Tools® received its first shipment of new inventory and we have begun shipping product to you. Our inventory is being replenished on a daily basis and we are doing our best to ship products as they arrive. The inside repair to our facility is progressing and our intention is to have our packaging and tool departments re-open next week. Once packaging re-opens, we will be able to ship your orders for core bits and blades. Please continue to follow our progress via our website. Thank you again for all your support, patience and understanding while we rebuild our facility.
The Restoration Process Is Going Well!
9/20/2011
Alpha Professional Tools® moves another step closer to re-opening our facility to full capacity! The roofing company worked over the weekend to replace a majority of the roof on our building. The roof project is close to completion and contractors are being lined up to begin work on the inside of the facility repairing damaged walls, replacing carpet, furniture, etc. Our freight forwarders were contacted today to release the shipments of new inventory they have been kind enough to hold for us. We expect to begin receiving products during the latter part of this week. As soon as inventory arrives, we will ship it to you! Thank you again for all your support, patience and understanding while we rebuild our facility.
Building Repairs Require Power Interruption
9/16/2011
Part of the journey on the Road to Recovery includes a new roof installation which requires our electrical service to be disconnected for a brief time. This will be done by our service provider this weekend. Beginning Friday, September 16, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. Alpha Professional Tools® will be without electrical power, telephone/fax services, internet and web service, etc. At this time we will close our office for the balance of the business day. Please DO NOT SEND any emails or faxes during this time as they will only come back to you as “undeliverable”. We will re-open for business on Monday, September 19, 2011 at 9:30 a.m. and continue shipping on a limited basis. Thank you for your continued support and patience.
Alpha® Hurricane Irene Road to Recovery Update
9/13/2011
Our priority at this point in time is to begin shipping product to our loyal customers. We continue to take all the necessary steps to make this happen and we are getting close to achieving this goal. The majority of the clean-up work has been completed and repair work is under way. The roofing company will begin installing a new roof today and this project should be complete in a week. At that time, we will begin accepting the inbound shipments that have been held at local ports and broker facilities. Additional NEW inventory will be air freighted into our facility as products become available. In the meantime, we were able to salvage a very limited amount of inventory and will begin shipping what is available this week. All of this inventory is in pristine condition and was not affected by the damages caused by the storm. This limited, shippable inventory does not include any tools. Customers can be confident that although their shipment of tools will be delayed for another week or so, all future orders shipped containing tools will be from brand new inventory. We continue to work around-the-clock to re-open and have made great progress in a short amount of time.
Alpha® Hurricane Irene Damage Update
9/8/2011
As promised in our original announcement regarding the temporary closing of Alpha Professional Tools® due to Hurricane Irene damages, we would like to provide you with an update on our progress to re-open. Although our goal was to re-open and begin shipping this week, the incessant rain and flooding conditions have slowed down our progress in certain areas. Earlier this week we were able to install a “temporary” roof to protect our building. The permanent roof installation was delayed because of the weather and cannot begin until early next week. The rain has not hindered our ability to make repairs inside our facility. The Recovery Team has made great progress in cleaning the building. Various contractors have already begun repairing damaged offices and work areas. A review of our inventory has been completed by the insurance auditors. Our standard monthly inbound inventory shipments are being held at local ports patiently waiting our authorization to deliver these shipments to our warehouse. Additional NEW inventory will be air freighted into our facility as products become available. As previously stated, your business is very important to us. Rest assured, we are working around-the-clock to make all the necessary repairs to our building and bring in new products to begin shipping as soon as possible.
Alpha® HQ Damaged in Hurricane Irene
9/6/2011
As you may or may not be aware of, Alpha Professional Tools® has experienced a major service interruption as a result of the damage caused by Hurricane Irene. Most recently, FEMA along with President Obama have declared major disaster areas in several states including New Jersey. The strong winds and rains from Irene tore off part of our roof causing extensive water damage. We have restored electrical power as well as telephone and internet service for our Oakland, NJ facility. Unfortunately, we still have significant cleanup and repair to undertake before we are fully operational. This includes the shipping of our products. The Alpha Professional Tools® dedicated team is feverishly working to re-open our facility to supply our customers with the quality products and services they are accustomed to receiving from us. This is our #1 priority and we are doing everything possible to make this happen. Your business is very important to us. Please feel free to contact us anytime and we will keep you posted on our progress to re-open. You may continue to email your orders to orderdesk@alpha-tools.com and we will ship them as soon as possible. Thank you for your support and understanding during this challenging time.
