Alpha® DW Style is an aggressive grinding wheel specially formulated to grind and shape natural stone products. They perform exceptionally well on most granites and harder materials. Alpha® DW Style can be used on most popular angle grinders. They are the ideal grinding wheels to profile edges, smooth out inside sinkhole cuts, smooth rough surfaces, prepare surfaces for lamination, and simple heavy material removal. Alpha® DW Style is well known for its excellent performance on red granites, which are among the hardest granites available today. Fabricators love its aggressiveness and endurance. Stone workers will appreciate how fast they can shape normally difficult areas with ease, in very little time. Tile installers will find these wheels are the best for profiling granite edges. Designed for either wet or dry use, Alpha® DW Style grinding wheels are versatile and long lasting. The turbo design provides fast stock removal thus saving time and reducing operator fatigue. They are the premium choice for any grinding, shaping or beveling work. Adapters for non-threaded wheels are available in common thread sizes for most angle grinders and polishing tools.

Question : What is the difference between the Coarse and Medium grinding wheels?

Answer : The differences between these two grinding wheels are the aggressiveness in the grinding action. If your job requires aggressive grinding, use the coarse grinding wheel. If you need slower grinding action use the medium grinding wheel. Note: The coarse DG Grinding Wheel is black and the medium wheel is grey.

Answer : Alpha® DG Style Grinding Wheels are designed for dry grinding applications but work exceptionally well during wet applications.

Answer : The Alpha® DG Style Grinding Wheels are designed for profiling edges, smoothing out inside sinkhole cuts, smoothing rough surfaces, preparation of material for lamination and heavy stock removal.

Question : What make these Alpha® DG Style Grinding Wheels so aggressive?

Answer : The turbo design of the DG Style Grinding Wheels along with the formulated bond makes these wheels aggressive for fast stock removal.

Question : Can I use the Alpha® DG Style Grinding wheels on Marble or softer materials?

Answer : No. Due to the aggressive grinding ability and turbo rim design Alpha® recommends using our DS Style Grinding Wheels which are designed for softer materials.

Question : Can I use the Alpha® DG Style Grinding wheels on a polisher?

Answer : No. Alpha® recommends using these DG Style Grinding Wheels on high-speed angle grinders not exceeding 14,500 RPM. If these wheels are used on slow RPM polishers, the wheel may wear unevenly do to the slow RPM.
