Answer : Since the Gear-Action Sander/Polisher may consume up to 2 CFM, Alpha® recommends using with a 2 hp or larger compressor that is commonly found in garages.

Question : Can I use the Gear-Action Sander/Polisher for wet sanding and polishing?

Answer : Yes. You can use the Gear-Action Sander/Polisher for wet sanding and polishing if you do not use the central vacuum function. Since there is no water feed available, you may have to use a sprayer to wet the surface.

Question : Does the Gear-Action Sander/Polisher come with a sanding product?

Answer : No. The Gear-Action Sander/Polisher comes with a standard backer pad with a standard 6-hole pattern.

Question : Can I use the Gear-Action Sander/Polisher at the jobsite?

Answer : Yes as long as you have required compressed air available, you can use Gear-Action Sander/Polisher at the jobsite.

Question : What kind of maintenance do I have to do on the Gear-Action Sander/Polisher?

Answer : Alpha® recommends adding daily oil to the designated oil port at the end of the job to lubricate the motor.

Question : Does Alpha® offer a palm sander with other orbit diameters?

Answer : No. Currently the Gear-Action Sander/Polisher with a 5mm orbit diameter is the only one offered at this time.
