VDP-700/714 Variable Speed Rotary Polisher

Introducing the VDP-700… Sanding and polishing applications are time consuming tough work. In order to reduce the fatigue of the polishing professional, we ergonomically designed this lightweight polisher that is comfortable to hold and easy to control during the entire operation. This is done with one of two handle designs that come with the unit (C-Handle & Side Handle). To ensure the reliability and high performance, the unit was built with a powerful 1900w (maximum) motor along with heavy-duty precision gear system for the most demanding polishing tasks. This polisher offers the variable speed range from 700 to 3,500 rpm with soft-start and built-in speed stabilizer for constant speed output. This industrial quality polisher comes with a 25ft, 14 AWG electrical power cord that can cover large automotive or work areas without connecting to an extension cord. This feature assures getting the maximum power from the electrical circuit and avoids overheating of the motor. Alpha® also offers variety of accessories for this polisher such as rotary backer pads, diamond face form pads, wool pads, microfiber pads, and other abrasive products.

Question : Why doesn’t the VDP-700 come with a backer pad and polishing tools?

Answer : Alpha® caters to multiple industries and each industry has preferred sizes and kinds of polishing tools. We have created VDP-700 kits designed for the various industries with a standard backer pad and polishing tools to suit their needs.

Question : Why do I need a 25 ft power cord?

Answer : When a long extension cord is used, ampere is lost, particularly when using a thinner gauge and longer length. This kind of setup could create a lack of power and/or overheating of the motor, so we provided 25 ft (14 AWG) power cord to ensure that polisher would work at its optimal condition without having to use an extension cord.

Question : What RPM does each dial indicate on the variable speed control switch?

Answer : Each dial indicates the following no load RPM. It is also listed on the motor housing. #1: 700 rpm, #2: 1200 rpm, #3: 1700 rpm, #4: 2300 rpm, #5: 2900 rpm, #6: 3500 rpm
