Question : What kind of grinder or polisher does Alpha® recommend?
Answer : EasyBevel can be used with any angle grinder or polisher with 5/8”-11 spindle.
Question : If I use a variable-speed angle grinder, which speed shall I use?
Answer : Alpha® recommends a higher rpm for heavy material removal then slow down to finish to leave finer scratches on the edge. If used as dry application, please see A2 for your safety.
Question : How can I make a Hollywood Bevel on the back side of porcelain paver with a pattern.
Answer : Alpha® recommends using a thin Plexiglas or PVC sheet to create a smooth surface then use the EasyBevel on top of it so that you can grind evenly.
Question : How can I make bevels on the top and bottom of the edge.
Answer : See A4 above for the bottom side application if needed.
Question : Can I use ASC-5CSM Universal Carriage System I already own?
Answer : No. you cannot use the ASC-5CSM Universal Carriage System as it is designed for ESC-125 that is a 5” stone cutter.
Question : Can I use the EasyBevel for dry applications?
Answer : Yes. Alpha® recommends using a HEPA Vacuum and Flexible Connector Hose attach to the EasyBevel so that you can remove dangerous silica dust.
Question : If I use a high-speed angle grinder, what do I have to know?
Answer : Since rpm is very high, the wheel acts very aggressive so that you may want to choose a finer grit Turboshine Grinding & Shaping Wheel (#120). If you want to use it dry, Alpha® recommends using HEPA Vacuum with a Flexible Connector Hose to capture the dust during the operation. Otherwise, Alpha® recommends using a Water Feed System to keep the dust down on the floor although it is a high-speed application.

Question : Can I polish the edge of Engineered Stone/Quartz-Surfaces using Turboshine?
Answer : Yes. Alpha® offers resin grits which are suitable for not only Engineered Stone/Quartz-Surfaces but also for sintered slabs and porcelain panels.
Question : I own a BAB-CASM for Beveling Auxiliary Base and guiderail system. Can I use the EasyBevels on the same carriage system?
Answer : No. The BAB-CASM is designed to fit only the Beveling Auxiliary Base, and it is not compatible with the EasyBevels.

Question : If I want to polish a beveled edge, which tool shall I need?
Answer : Alpha® recommends using the Turboshine series of diamond polishing system. Turboshine | Alpha Professional Tools®.
Question : My material is very soft and easy to scratch. Can I use the EasyBevel without scratching the surface?
Answer : Alpha® recommends using Surface Protection Tape (BAB0650) to cover the surface for worry-free applications.
